It has been a common strategy too target the “threats” first during the post-merge phase of the game, but as the numbers start to dwindle, Tribal Council is starting to get more unpredictable.
The pattern of the jury members continues as the tenth person voted out leaves Tribal Council to become the third jury member, and that person is Debbie.
Debbie was the only person exiled this season where she was given the opportunity to have a one-on-one with Survivor: Caramoan winner John Cochran. She was also asked to choose between three advantages, and she chose the Extra Vote which she used, although it was unnecessary, in the previous Tribal Council to get rid of Ozzy.
Debbie had many memorable moments this season, she got pissed at Brad because he’s being such a “dictator,” he mooned Tai during the merge feast, and she was a part of the most exciting Tribal Council this season where two tribes came together to vote out one person.
Coming into the episode, it wasn’t alluded that Debbie would become the third member of the jury, but as the episode progressed, it was shown who the obvious targets were, and it came down to Sierra, Sarah, and Debbie. Contrary to what she said in Kaoh Rong “Overconfidence is a weakness,” this episode showed how confident Debbie is about Sarah joining their alliance, and that may have been one of the reasons why she didn’t secure herself enough to not be the person voted out.
Debbie was voted out 6-5 – Andrea, Aubry, Cirie, Michaela, Saraha, and Zeke voted for her, while she, along with Brad, Sierra, Tai, and Troyzan, voted for Andrea.
Debbie, who was also the third member of the jury in Kaoh Rong, joins Hali in the jury, who were also the first and second jury members in the previous seasons they played continuing the pattern for the jury.
