A Eulogy from the Heavens

This is the hardest thing that I will probably ever do, but knowing him, he would want this to be heard because he never wants the truth to stay hidden.

He has always loved the wonders of the sky, and there are a lot of things about him that you could compare to that everchanging canvas.

Like the night sky, he has a very dark side that he is never afraid of showing, but at the same time, like the darkness that makes the stars sparkle, his dark side highlights the passion he has for everything that he does.

Like the overcast that gives you a storm warning, he can hold on to his emotions and show subtle hints to see if you can figure out what he is trying to say.

Like the rain released by the dark clouds, and the lightning that flashes in a stormy sky, he will pour everything out when he thinks it’s the right time.

Like the sunrise on the horizon, he knew he was born to give light and inspire others with his knowledge and personal experiences after going through the darkness.

Like the sun in an afternoon sky, he knew how to shine to a point where he could blind those who will try to bring him down.

Like the sunset, his time has come to sink. It is one of the things that made him cry, and I believe this moment explains why such beauty brought tears to his eyes.

The mere comparison of his life with the wonders of the sky may not justify the way he lived his life, but as he always said: “This is as simple as it gets.”

Every time we look up into the heavens, may he remind us of the peace that death brings upon someone like the quiet of the night, and may he let us realize life’s true essence, to always show your true colors like a rainbow after a storm.

Every Friday, I’ll be posting short stories and poetry that will hit you right in the feels. Want to send a contribution? Click here.
