Pokémon Sun and Moon: New Pokémon, Forms, Evil Team Revealed in New Trailer

The day we have been waiting for is here! Pokémon Sun and Moon recently released a new trailer that shows new us three new seventh generation Pokémon, three new Alola Forms, and the evil team of the upcoming games.

You can watch the trailer below:

The first Pokémon revealed in the trailer is Wishiwashi, which was first revealed by the CoroCoro leak. According to the information provided by the Sun and Moon website, a single Wishiwashi is tiny and weak, but despite of this, the people from Alola seem to view it as terrifying. Wishiwashi’s new Ability, Schooling, can change the Pokémon’s form in battle to their School Form under certain conditions.

The next Pokémon revealed is Pyukumuku, a Water-type Pokémon with the Ability Innards Out. This ability lets the Pokémon deal one last bit of damage when it faints. The damage is equal to the amount of HP it had left before it fainted. The Pokémon hate to have their spikes and mouths touched, and will hurl out its fist-like inner organs to attack if you step on one.

Completing the list of the new seventh generation Pokémon in the trailer is Morelull, a Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon. According to the Sun and Moon website, Morelull are nocturnal Pokémon that walk around at night who can’t stay in one spot because sucking all the nutrients from the soil would cause surrounding plants to wither. It broadcasts spores that glow brightly when they burst open that they seem to use in times of danger.

Following the reveal of the three new seventh generation Pokémon is the reveal of the evil team that we will encounter in the games, Team Skull. Here’s the full information about the evil team from the Sun and Moon website: In the Alola region, a group of ruffians known as Team Skull causes a lot of trouble. They steal other people’s Pokémon, mess up the trial sites, and delight in all kinds of evil deeds.

In the trailer, they showed Plumeria, Team Skull’s Big Sister, a tough lady who seems to care for the grunts below her in the pecking order. Following her reveal is the Big Boss of Team Skull, Guzma. In the trailer, he was shown talking to Professor Kukui saying “Fellow rejects who could never become captains!” We’ll have to wait for more information to know what is really happening between the two as they seem to have a past based on the trailer.

Additionally, the trailer revealed more Alola Forms of our old-school favorites.

Alolan Meowth, who was first revealed in the CoroCoro leak is now a Dark-type. Meowth did not really originate from the Alola region, but were sent to the royal line as an offering from another region. Living a life in luxury, and pampering, the Pokémon adapted in the Alola region with a selfish and prideful attitude causing it to change in form. Once considered rare, the Pokémon became regular after the monarchy was destroyed.

Another Pokémon who was first revealed in the CoroCoro leak is Marowak. Now a Fire/Dark-type, an Alolan Marowak takes bones and light both ends on fire by rubbing them against its foreheads. The change in form was brought about by the great partnerships they have which made them gain a sort of sixth sense after they are presented with harsh environment filled with Grass-types in Alola. Marowak’s rarity and appearance when it dances with its bone led the people of Alola to fear it.

The last Pokémon with a new form revealed is Raichu. Now an Electric/Psychic-type, the Alolan Raichu are able to wield psychic powers. Its new Ability, Surge Surfer, doubles its speed on an Electric Terrain. According to the Sun and Moon website, Alolan Raichu’s change in form is shrouded in mystery that even researchers don’t know why it changed. The people of Alola guess that this is because maybe it ate too many sweet and fluffy round pancakes which might explain the aroma that is released from its cheeks whenever Raichu rubs them.
